I used this for my lip, not labret, and it works fine. Not only is this product inexpensive, but I was pleased to find that it was flexible, which (maybe I'm just new and don't know that they all are) was a huge bonus for me; it fits comfortably in my piercing even though I've only worn hoops because of its flexibility. And, most importantly, it's very discrete, and serves its purpose; however, it is an O-ring, which may or may not be to everyone's liking... although I do highly recommend this retainer.
